The BLB28 is a low-noise amplifier (LNA) developed by BeRex, designed to operate across a wide frequency range from 2.0 to 7.0 GHz. Based on a GaAs E-pHEMT process, this component is housed in a compact 8-pin DFN package (2×2 mm), compliant with RoHS standards.
One of the distinctive features of the BLB28 is its high gain, reaching 21.5 dB, combined with a low noise figure of less than 1 dB. These specifications make it ideal for applications requiring significant signal amplification and minimal noise introduction. Additionally, the amplifier provides a 1 dB compression point (P1dB) of 19.6 dBm and a Third-Order Intercept Point (IP3) of 31.5 dBm, ensuring good linearity and robust performance in the presence of strong signals.
The BLB28 operates with a supply voltage ranging from 4.75 V to 5.25 V, drawing a current between 42 mA and 62 mA. This energy efficiency, combined with its compact size, makes it suitable for integration into complex systems where space and power consumption are critical factors.
Typical applications for the BLB28 include base station infrastructure, commercial, industrial, and military wireless systems, as well as LTE TDD or FDD systems and 5G NR applications. Its fast switching capability makes it particularly suitable for TDD-5G applications, where enable speed is crucial.
In summary, BeRex’s BLB28 is an advanced solution for low-noise amplification needs in a wide range of RF applications, offering an optimal balance between high gain, low noise, and contained power consumption.
